Haymaker is a senior thesis short film centered on a boxer’s perseverance and determination in the ring. The project features dynamic, stylized visuals inspired by Into the Spider-Verse, with a strong focus on expressive lighting and rendering. Nick served as the Lead Rigging Artist, developing complex character rigs for both boxers and creating an advanced facial rig influenced by the Metahuman pipeline. Through this project, Nick learned the technical and creative depth of facial rigging—particularly in achieving nuanced, believable expressions and strengthened his ability to translate performance into motion.
